Expectations of the Teacher:
The teacher will…
Be available for questions and/or comments by

e-mail, phone, or appointment during the day.
Not be able to take questions and/or comments during or between classes

in the afternoon and evening.
Be present throughout the entirety of all classes unless there is an

unexpected emergency.

Expectations of the Student:
The student will…
Respect the teacher, fellow students, and his/herself.
Not talk while the teacher is teaching.
Be supportive and show encouragement for other dancers.
Be kind to everyone. No gossiping allowed!
Follow the dress code.
Pay attention when other students are dancing.
Not hang from the barres or touch the mirrors.
Not run in the dance room, unless it’s part of the dance!
Keep his/her hands and feet to his/herself.
Always give 100%.
Be on time for class. If a student is more than 15 minutes late for class,

he/she will be asked to observe the remainder of the class.
Not chew gum during class.
Not wear jewelry during class.
Not use a cell phone during class.
Bring a positive attitude to class.
Not bring food or drink (other than water or Gatorade) in the dance space.
Not miss more than 3 classes during the spring semester (January-Recital). If the

student does miss more than 3 classes, he/she will not be allowed to perform in

the recital.

Expectations of the Student, Parent, & Teacher:
The student, parent and teacher will…
Refrain from talking negatively about any other business while in the studio space.
Consequences if Expectations are NOT Followed:
*First Offense: Verbal warning.
*Second Offense: Conference with parent present.
*Third Offense: Subject to dismissal.
